Moments from 3rd CITC @ CCEC, 12–14 August 2025

The 3rd Cosmetic Industrial Technology Convention (CITC) commenced with an official opening segment to mark the start of the program. MSCS President, Ms. Toh Mong Sah, delivered the opening remarks and officiated the opening ceremony together with the 3rd CITC Chairperson, Mr. Anson Woo Juin Onn.
A heartfelt thank you to all our benefactors for your generous support. Your contributions made a meaningful difference in 2025, and we are truly grateful to have the support of 12 benefactors this year.

1st Applied Cosmetic Science Course 2025: Centered on Emulsion and Colloid Science, this year’s course explored how advances in emulsification, polymer science, and emerging materials can improve both the performance and sensorial profile of cosmetic formulations. The program featured four expert-led sessions: Prof. Dr. Katsunori Yoshida (first row, left) shared how polymer science can be integrated into emulsion technology to strengthen stability and rheology through thickening mechanisms and polymer design; Prof. Dr. Kei Watanabe (first row, middle) discussed recent advances in emulsification to enhance functional and sensory value; Dr. Lee Sung Ho (first row, right) presented market insights on applied colloid and polymer science in Korea with a focus on innovation through format, texture, and sensorial differentiation; and Prof. Dr. Janet Lim Hong Ngee (second row, middle) highlighted the potential of graphene-based nanomaterials to enhance emulsion and colloid systems. The course concluded with a panel discussion involving all speakers.
