MSCS Society is responsible for the protection of personal information of members and benefactors’ applicants submitted through the website. A member and benefactor applicants’ information is treated with high confidentiality and stored in a secured server. We do not sell, share nor transfer information to any party. Successful applicants or members will have their personal information recorded by the Society Registration team. Access to this database can only be carried out by appointed Society Registration team.

The society will only use the information collected from you directly through the membership application form or the benefactor application form to:

1. approve or reject a membership application
2. administer the website
3. plan for society’s activities/events/content with members and individuals for membership benefits
4. register with International Federation of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) to complete the membership registration and to qualify for all benefits subjected under the society
5. send you email notifications on your application status
6. send you email notifications relating to SCS events or other activities/events we believe may be of interest to you
7. send your email notifications regarding expiry of membership
8. deal with enquiries and complaints made by or about you

Submission of personal information to IFSCC

We will submit the personal information of successful applicants to register with International Federation of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) for full membership benefits. IFSCC abide by strict privacy statement when they handle your information.

Third-party

The website contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third-party websites. In certain websites which are part of benefits of members of MSCS society, member login is sought and protected by member’s personal username and password, which can only be modified by the participant.

We may employ the services of a third party to help us in certain areas, such as website hosting. The third party may receive your information. However, MSCS society requires these third-party to abide by this privacy statement if they handle your information.

Updating Information

If you have a change in personal information and the information we are holding is no longer valid or out-of-date, please contact us at malaysian.scs@gmail.com for this purpose.

MSCS society reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time and to notify its members by posting an updated version of the policy on its website.
