Happy New Year 2025!

As we step into 2025, we reflect on the remarkable achievements of the past year.

2024 was a year of both learning and growth for the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, Malaysia (MSCS). Our flagship event, the Cosmetic Industry Technology Conference (CITC) 2024, saw overwhelming participation from industry players not just from Malaysia, but from across the Asian countries. The seminar, exhibition, and networking sessions were a resounding success, fostering collaboration and innovation within our community.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our council and co-council members for their unwavering dedication and hard work throughout 2024. Your efforts have been instrumental in driving our mission forward. I would also like to thank our benefactors for their generous sponsorships in 2024, which have been crucial in supporting our initiatives. Your continuous invaluable support for the subsequent year 2025 has been motivating to all of us. Meanwhile, I would like to urge more industry players to join us as benefactors, helping us further our cause.

Looking ahead, the council has set ambitious goals for 2025. We aim to sustain and build upon our young society, now two years old, by continuing to raise the bar in cosmetic science through workshops, seminars, and maintaining a robust network platform. Our efforts will culminate in the organization of CITC 2025, which promises to be even more impactful. We therefore call upon industry players to actively participate as organizing committee members, contributing their expertise and insights to our initiatives.

Additionally, we are excited to extend travel grants to support young chemists and scientists in publishing their work at the Asian Societies of Cosmetic Scientists (ASCS) Conference 2025 in Manila.

As we embark on this new year, I wish everyone an aspirational, progressive and fulfilling 2025. May this year bring new opportunities, continued growth, and success to all.
